1. What do you think are your career achievements in the recent times?

I have been involved in many projects and process that involved good intellectual talent and technical knowledge. I have always given quality work on time and proved to be above the expectations of the management. My enthusiasm, involvement and dedication to the work has worn me some awards and appreciation from the higher level management. You can also refer to my resume as to how i have been given more and more important projects through my career experience in the previous company. That should explain how I have served as an integral part of the entire team.


2. Why do like this company and do you think its moving towards a greater aim/ambition?

Yes, I have heard a lot of good things about this organization. The popularity it has attained now is because of its innovative ideas and quality products/service. I have also researched about what the company is involved in right now. I think it is quite a interesting company to work in. For one thing, it sure is a “goal-oriented” company as is shown by the various products it rolls out and domain-specific approach it has been taking.


3. What goals have you set for yourself for the coming years?

I would like to see myself as an very dedicated employee of a very organized and professional concern. I have always liked the career that i have chosen. I just want to prove to the management how much I am interested and responsible so that I can grow along with the organization’s development. I want to create the perfect win-win situation for the entire organization. I would like to get involved in more and more interesting projects of the company and deliver the perfect quality of work, done to my best of ability right through. I want to succeed at every level of my career.


4. What kind of attitude you like to develop in the work environment?

I would always like to have a balance between friendly environment and professional work environment. Professionalism is the top priority; with my experience I have come to know that being friendly and cohesive as a team can be really easy in a professional work environment. This way I would like to ensure everyone delivers good work as well as are personally involved and happy with the work environment.



5. Do you think being assertive is quite easy thing to do?

Well, speaking of being assertive, it is not an easy thing to go around assertive among the various team mates. There should be a threshold/limit for getting past to the pure assertiveness. Everyone can adjust to certain limits. Not all things go as planned. So assertive tone has to come in only when you think its really important to the betterment of everyone. That I would like to ensure in the way I interact with the other employees.



6. How do you like to handle ethical issues/problems within you or with other co-workers?

Ethical and moral conflicts come across in our workplace. But the best way to handle it is to just make sure to analyze the problem from every one’s perspective and just deal it in the professional way possible. Sometimes whistle blowing and reporting of the co-workers are not very appreciated by co-workers. Nevertheless, professionalism and business come over the top as things that have obligations related to us. So from my perspective, just doing what is right and considered right by everyone is best way to go.


7. How would rate yourself in interaction between the technical and non-technical guys?

I could rate myself as good at it, because i have been dealing with customer and team interactions for the past few years. I certainly understand that most of the times it is just in laymen terms do we express ourselves to the customers. The customer just needs to feel reassured that we are going the right direction. At the same time, dealing the same thing with the technical team will just have to be related to in-depth knowledge. Our understanding and the other persons are understanding have to be matched at some level and I think my experience can come in real handy when it comes to identifying that right level.


8. What makes you think you can get accustomed to our work culture?

I have good idea of what the work culture is in here. I also think that professionalism and good work- in whatever form they are got out from us can be easy to handle once you are interested in the work you are doing. I always like to deliver a quality work on time; this is to keep the concept of professionalism in tact. The work that is involved here is one domain that I have been concentrating for the past years. So getting accustomed to the work culture and environment will be smooth as the works that I deliver from my side.



9. Say, you have a point to make but it is also known that no one is really interested in the idea. How do you approach with this?

I would just make sure the idea is perfected from my side. The best way to get across to the higher level of management about some controversial idea is by getting sufficient proof to support your theory. It may just be inferences or prototype oriented display with facts to support. I have had a similar experience. Then, I just had to make a clear documents with all the facts to support my concept and it got accepted at later stages.



10. How confident are you about communicating and dealing with global customers?

It may not be the most easiest handling experience when it comes to customers from different countries. But I personally I am interested in interacting with various customers, for what I see and try to correlate is how our technology/product is going to be used in various areas of the world. I think technical interaction is pretty much the same wherever you belong to. That is my personal experience. Just pictures can give the perfect idea of what they are expecting and what we are providing from our side.



11. What do you know about this organization?

I am pretty much aware of all the products that have been developed here. I also got a good knowledge of how things work around in here from my contacts in this company. It is dealing with the same domain that I specialize in and the goal of this company will help in achieving mine. That is what I am looking forward to as well.



12. Why should I select you above others?

I am sure many of them are interested to join in this position. But comparing the inter-personal and attitude strengths of mine, I think I can prove to be a great asset in terms of the organization- as a perfect team player, really good worker, employee who takes the initiatives and a good leader. I am not just one who just does his work properly but I can add a lot more value to the position.



13. How confident are you regarding working for this position and in life overall?

I could certainly say I am a confident person. I make it a point that whatever thing I get involved in, I do it with good confidence. As for this job, I think I am pretty much positive that I would be successful not just because of the experience and technical knowledge, but also because of the suitability for the position. I am confident that I am the perfect person for you to select for this job. Every aspect regarding it are right.


14. Let us say that you are given the task of drafting a plan for a project module development? How would you go about it and what factors will you consider before drafting out a schedule?

I think it more depends on the kind of timeline and kind of project. If the project is running on a aggressive schedule, I would like to initially have a very circumspectly estimate to start with, then optimize it to required time frame with work schedule modifications. But if it is going to be on a normal timeline based approach, a circumspectly approach with as many tests and validations can be the right way to go.


15. What would be your reaction to a teammate who is neglecting works for quite sometime now?

No one is perfect and everyone might have some problems that can kick in at sometime. To deal with some limited time of inaction from an employee is quite tolerable. It is also fine if he can make up for that with his future works. But if one really tries to evade work forever, then perfect solution would be make the inactivity visible through the higher layers of organizations. Most of the time though a move to the first higher level will correct the situation.


16. What was the work that really got you tensed in the recent years? Did you cope up well?

The most recent project that we were involved in had one point of delivery that made us work late hours due to internal issues in the system. We as a team believed that we can rectify it and without worrying about the deadline, it was important for us to give in our best. It paid of pretty well in the end. We solved the issue and delivery was made without much of a hassle. I think it is really important to maintain your composure and remain calm during such times of pressure.



17. When can you really say that one is successful in his job?

One can call himself successful in his job if he is delivering high quality work punctually. But successful career in an organization is one which can combine successful job operation and successful presence established within the company and the co-employees. It is more often the attitude that makes the difference between the success and failure.


18. Is it important to be rigid or flexible within a team?

Being rigid in your focus towards the team’s goals and being flexible and adjustable with the team mates is the way to go. Some adjustments to personal preferences and priorities have to be made. Feeling as part of the team can come only when one shows flexibility towards the initial phase of team formation.


19. What is the important aspect that you expect to get out of your work?

I think the feeling of job satisfaction is the best thing that anyone can get out of the works that he do. There are also motivations and appreciations from higher level of management that can boost your self esteem and confidence. But all of these are trying to make you content and satisfied with the work you do. I think job satisfaction is the best thing that I want from my work.


20. Work or money- which comes first?

Getting the money I deserve by doing the work I do best is what I take it to be. So it is the combination that makes both of these aspects look good. I would like to have a good job done and get the compensation I deserve.



21. Tell me about yourself.

I am a confident person who always likes to have the positive take on the things around me. I strongly feel that everything has a positive side to it which when concentrated upon can yield to better results and happy environments around you. Life is a continuous learning experience. I would like to get to know more and more stuff and like to improve my knowledge both vertically and horizontally. I likes to spend time with my friends during leisure and I like the people who see the lighter side of every aspect.



22. Are you applying for other jobs as well.

I am planning to check out some other openings in other companies as well. But as for now, this is the only that I am actively participating in.


23. What is the difference between the hard work and smart work. Which do you prefer doing?

Hard work basically involved lot of involvement and dedication from a person. If one just focuses on the work in spite of all the other interests of his, taking responsibility and finishes it we can call it a hard work. Smart work is more of intellectual work that is done by applying the knowledge perfectly in the perfect place of action. Some things can be achieved only through hard work and some jobs can be done easily if we do some smart work. So a good mix of both would make an employee a worthy asset.


24. What are you strengths?

The main strengths of mine lies in the character and technical experience. I really have a good positive attitude. The way I approach and deal with problems can show the way I take up responsibility. I am really the kind of person who likes to get things working. I also have a good professional attitude. In the present global market, I think I have myself very suitable with good professionalism and perfect communication skills.



25. What are your weaknesses?

I have some weaknesses in terms of getting involved too many responsibilities. I think that would not be a problem for the company. But as every person should take it, I have taken it up as a challenge to manage the time more and more well as I take more and more responsibilities. I think it has brought in better changes.


26. Why did you leave your previous company?

It was mostly due to the personal reasons and family issues that made me to relocate to a different location. I could no longer find myself working in the other city. Also few months back the company shifted its domain of operation to a completely different field. This was not my domain of choice. So I thought that everything added up to make me try finding the domain-specific job that I have been looking for always.



27. What would be an ideal job according to you?

I think any job that gives me the freedom to give the quality work in a reasonable time frame is perfect. Sure, the work environment and overall atmosphere in the office will make it more interesting when I am working for an organization. The specific domain related work will make me happy, but recently I have also found that I have the same interest shown across to the other related domains as well. So just a good provision of amenities to work well and a professional work culture would do for me as the ideal one.



28. What kind of motivation do you like to have in your job?

I would like to feel my importance in the entire team and in the organization, like every others. Not a specific appreciation or motivation is expected. But the identity that we obtain as a team or as an individual do play a role in maintaining our composure and self confidence among others. I just need to get the right feedback or criticism from the management as and when it is required. That would be the ones that can help me assess and improve myself.


29. Do you think you can handle work amidst pressure and deadline constraints?

Yes, I have been involved in such works right through my career. In some ways I also think that the best of my abilities come out really well under the high pressure situations. I always like to maintain my cool and just do the work with a clear mind. That has been one of my best reasons to success with previous employers.


30. What is ergonomics?

Ergonomics is the science that deals with the relationship between the workers and the work environment. The calculations of effectiveness, efficiency and worker involvement come directly from such analysis.



31. How long can we expect you to be working for us if we chose you for this position?

I always wanted to build a career in this specific domain. No one can have a better opportunity than having a career in the desired field in a prestigious company. I think I have just got an opportunity for that. I think I can never say if I would consider leaving this company provided all the other environmental and personal factors are in tact.



32. What do you like your boss to be?

I just want a professionally approachable boss. If he would be nice enough to openly talk about the different aspects related to work and give me the right way to follow to get to the expectations, I think I can perform even better. Just the perfect guide who can assist and help me through withing the organization is what I like my boss to be.



33. How do you think should a leader identify himself and get work done from within a team?

An ideal is not one who just bosses around others. He should identify himself as a team member and make everyone feel their importance within the team. The involvement and dedication that he gets out of everyone is the one that will get the best work from everyone in the team. Maintaining the focus of the team towards the goal, keeping their energized and completely informed with periodic discussions is a good way to have everyone involved in the project. It is not the individual gains that should be the motivational factor, but the team itself should impact as a motivational factor.

I would like to know more about the prospective training and growth structure within the organizational structure of this company. Can you just give me some input on that?
